VoiceoverCity Learning presents two workshops this August 11th, at the Hampton Inn & Suites - Downtown Atlanta.  You may take either class, or take advantage of our special offer when you take both workshops.  That's right.  You'll receive a full day of wonderful training by proven industry professionals for one low price when you attend both.

Workshop 1: Acting for Voice Over I: Script Analysis and Deconstruction

If you are new to voiceover, we recommend you take the Introduction to Voiceover workshop prior to attending this workshop.

Every piece of copy you will encounter has an underlying message. Learn to find the message behind the commercial message, recognize the "call to action," and make your next audition stand out from the rest. Before hitting the recording booth, learn and apply the copy basics from how to mark, read, and interpret copy to deconstruction and analysis. Learn techniques on bringing the copy to life after breaking down the text, finding the subtext, and identifying your target audience. Everyone will have a chance to rehearse and record copy by the end of the workshop.

Here is a quick summary of what you will learn:

  • How to analyze, read, mark, and interpret copy

  • Identify and deliver the underlying message, copy points, comparisons, lists, "color words," and more
  • Find the "music" in the copy through methods such as stair-stepping or changing vocal tone and inflection
  • Identify the target audience and deconstruct the copy to identify the problem, solution, and "call to action
